Welcome Talented Tenth

#WeDoItFor...

Sojourner Truth who was an African-American abolitionist and women's rights activist. Truth was born into slavery in Swartekill, Ulster County, New York, but escaped with her infant daughter to freedom in 1826.

We appreciate you visiting our page. Feel free to get acquainted with our meeting schedule and events, as well as our mission statement. This school year we are launching a new slogan: #WeDoItForThem. This slogan/hashtags embodies all of the people who have fought and died for our rights, as well as the people who have been murdered due to police brutality. The NAACP OSU Chapter encourages you all to fight for what you believe in and further your education, so the talented tenth, which is us, can uplift and educate the rest of our people. Don't forget, you don't have to be black or a minority to speak up or fight against injustices. Join us now to begin or further your activism. We, the executive board of NAACP OSU Chapter, believe "The Talented Tenth of the Negro race must be made leaders of thought and missionaries of culture among their people." - W.E.B Du Bois
